It has some of the most staggering scenery that you will ever see. I remember when first time I visited this beautiful village three year ago, during that time an old Man passed away and people there were crying while some people played drum/gendang, they kindly offered us a cup of coffee and tobacco to smoke. I feel a different atmospher at the house.
This village is very clean and has tidy traditional house in old fortress area. One fascinating fact is that they have a lot of philosophical rules when they want to build a house, for example the Wood must be keep upright, like when they take it from the jungle and when they start making one part of house it Must have chicken or goats blood. They treat homes with great respect, almost like human.
This village also has three waterfalls in the jungle with sound of birds are very beatiful. lamando hill that looks like isle of skye is the best place for camping.
3. WAWOANGI
This village has old fortress in the hill and has nice view of ocean. They prepared the place for visitors on the top of big tree to see very well the blue of ocean. One kilometer from the fortress you will see the first mosque in buton island, first see this building looks like an old and uninhabited house but who would have thought, the building is the oldest mosque on the island of buton. The mosque was founded by syeh abdul wahid 1527 in the form a small house which was believed to be the first mosque propagation on buton island, the mosque located in the mountain of wawoangi village, sampolawa district, south buton regency, according to the story of establisment of this mosque began when syeh abdul wahid saw a bright light up into the sky that radiates from the mountain above. This mosque has its own uniqueness compare to other mosque, the uniqueness of this mosque is that until right now the building are made of wood originally. In front of the mosque there are sandalwood trees and there are tombs which are the tombs of father of Sultan buton VII sultan saparigau. This village has also new spot called lapoili.

I spent two weeks in this island and created great experience with some fisherman there, such as see the activity of fisherman that use bubu (fish trap from bamboo), spare fish and make trap for octopus. The fish there is very cheap.
